Jim's Review

🐛
A Beauty and the Beast riff with faeries, curses and a heroine who would rather hold a bow than a teacup. The first half is a lush slow burn in an eerie enchanted manor; the last act turns into a deadly series of trials that finally lights the fuse. It plays like a warm-up for the sequel, where the series opens up. Content note: explicit sex scenes and violence. Three worms — the price of admission to a much bigger ride.
