Best Reading Order
Read The Name of the Wind, then The Wise Man's Fear. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a quiet, unusual character study with almost no plot. It makes little sense without the novels, so save it for readers who already love Auri.
Should You Start an Unfinished Series?
The story is unfinished, and there is no announced date for the third book. If that bothers you, pick a completed series: The Wheel of Time and The Expanse are both finished.
