Read Larsson's three novels in order; the second and third form one continuous story, so read them back to back. Larsson's trilogy is complete on its own.
The Lagercrantz books continue the characters' story in publication order. They are written in a different voice, and many readers treat them as an optional extension of Larsson's trilogy.
