Best Reading Order

Read the original five books in order first. They tell one complete story, and The Last Olympian is a satisfying ending.

After that, Riordan's sequel series, The Heroes of Olympus, begins with The Lost Hero and continues the story with new and returning characters. The newer Percy books, The Chalice of the Gods and Wrath of the Triple Goddess, make the most sense after The Heroes of Olympus.
