Jim's Review

🐛
Kingsolver took Dickens and dropped him into Appalachian opioid country, and the result is devastating, brilliant, and necessary. Demon's voice is so alive and sharp it's easy to forget you're reading fiction. All 548 pages deliver a lump in the throat and fire in the belly. This book doesn't just tell you about poverty and addiction — it makes you FEEL it. Pulitzer well earned. Read this one, friends.
